SIR – Margaret Winstanley (Letters, October 28) objects to plastic bags from various charities regularly being posted through her door.
It has been reported that some of these bags (though not all) are being distributed by rogue companies exploiting the goodwill of the public and selling the donations at a profit. Terence Welch
SIR – The answer is to live in the country. We hardly ever get them.
When I have received them, I have used them as bin liner. I also keep one in my handbag – useful when you don’t want to buy a 5p bag. Linda Lucas
