The late American writer Toni Morrison is celebrated this afternoon in her own words along with context from the words of her literary peers, in this documentary produced by Shanida Scotland. The programme spans Morrison’s literary career as well as charting the history of the African-American experience, and revels in Morrison’s use of language and the power of her literature. There are contributions from Professor Farah Jasmine Griffin and from novelist Bernardine Evaristo, winner of the Booker Prize.
