A rare fin whale

On 4 Novem­ber, the body of a rare fin whale was dis­cov­ered washed up on a beach in County Done­gal in Ire­land. It’s be­lieved that the whale, which was six me­tres long, may have died weeks be­fore it ap­peared on the shore of Ar­ran­more Is­land. Fin whales are an en­dan­gered species.
