Times Tables Ages 10–11

The Week - Junior - - On Screen -

iOS (£3.99)

Times tables don’t have to be boring, as this app shows. Created by Andrew Brodie – who has worked as a head teacher – it’s a good way to polish your number skills on an iPhone or iPad.

The app is split into three parts: learning multiplication tables, then practising them, and finally testing yourself on what you’ve learned. It covers the times tables from two to 12. Practising involves different mini-games, including answering sums against the clock, and filling in a number grid. You can answer questions by typing or, if you prefer, by speaking into the microphone. The app covers both multiplication and division, and is based on what you’re learning at school, so it is a good way to make sure you’re well prepared for tests.
