Go Orange for Orangutans

The Week - Junior - - Over To You -

During the annual Orangutan Awareness Week, 12–18 November, people around the world are encouraged to take a walk on the wild side and go orange for these great apes. Orangutans are the largest tree-climbing mammals in the world, but the species is critically endangered because much of their forest home is rapidly disappearing. On 15 November, you can show how much you care about conserving orangutans and the home they live in through various fundraising activities to raise money for the Orangutan Foundation. Hold a bake sale, dress up in orange or host an orangutan-themed tea party. You could even get your school involved, too. Head to tinyurl.com/TWJorangutanawarenessweek for more information.
