Founded in 1964, the Nau­ti­cal Ar­chae­ol­ogy So­ci­ety (NAS) pro­vides funds, train­ing and re­sources to any­one in­ter­ested in dis­cov­er­ing more about the planet’s coastal and un­der­wa­ter ar­chae­ol­ogy. Ar­chae­ol­ogy is the study of the re­mains of peo­ple who lived in the past. Work­ing with other or­gan­i­sa­tions around the world, NAS is ded­i­cated to cre­ated and pre­serv­ing the most ac­cu­rate record of the past from the arte­facts dis­cov­ered un­der the wa­ter.
