Play­ers are usu­ally not al­lowed to wear foot­ball boots.

Stan­dard foot­balls are used but must be size 5, which have a cir­cum­fer­ence of 68–70 cen­time­tres.

Play­ers can’t use the sole of their foot to roll the ball into the hole.

If a ball needs to be re­moved from wa­ter or an ob­sta­cle, a penalty point is added to the player’s score.
