Australian pop star Sia Furler thwarted a paparazzi photographer’s attempt to auction nude photos of her to the highest bidder by posting one of her own. The singersongwriter, who is famously private and often obscures her own appearance when she is performing, posted the naked picture of herself (taken from behind) on Twitter, with the message: ”Save your money, here it is for free. Everyday is Christmas!”

Boris Becker may be down – but he is not out. The tennis star has insisted that although he was declared bankrupt in June, he still has plenty of money. “It’s crazy to think I’m broke,“he told a Swiss newspaper. “I’m going to Zurich this evening. I’m going to check into a hotel and pay my own bill. If I was insolvent, I couldn’t do that.” The bankruptcy order led to rumours that he had squandered a $100m fortune, but Becker says it related to a dispute over the terms of a debt – and that his finances are actually booming. “My name, my brand are more current than they have been for 20 years. If you’re looking for publicity, you hire Boris Becker. Attention guaranteed.” Celebrity love-ins are nothing new, but Kate Winslet took them to a new level at the Hollywood Film Awards last week. Collecting an award for her role in Wonder Wheel, the 42-year-old blurted out her passion for Allison Janney, star of The West Wing. “Allison Janney is in this room,” she said. “I know I don’t really know you, but I just want to be you, I do. Or just stroke you or something... I mean, we could always kiss maybe.” Moments later, Janney, 57, ran onto the stage. “Oh, it’s gonna happen,” said Winslet, before locking lips (pictured). “Thank you very much,” she said after. “Now I’m a bit breathless.”
