In-car tech boosts work productivity
In-car gadgets have made British workers around a third more productive, suggests research conducted by Skoda.
Skoda asked 600 company car drivers to name the single piece of equipment they “couldn’t work without”.
Smartphone connectivity systems lead the way with 14% of the vote, while a 10th each went to cruise control and satnavs.
The latter pairing were also among the most-used technologies in the survey respondents’ cars.
Saving time (42%) and making navigation easier (37%) were cited as the chief benefits for bosses, letting their staff get their jobs done quicker. Saving money won 31% of the votes.
Skoda’s research shows an average 33% increase in completed workload for each person, attributable to the advantages of in-car tech.
