Terror alerts hit two east London transport hubs

The Wharf - - Wharf -

The spectre of terrorism hung over east London in the past seven days as first the Jubilee line at North

Greenwich and then London City Airport were evacuated over suspicious devices.

Those heading to the Nickelback concert at The O2 were forced to find alternative routes as a controlled explosion destroyed a “viable” improvised device while two were hospitalised as the airport terminal building was cleared in a chemical incident that turned out to be CS gas spray.
