Concrete factories plan hits the dust
Mayor of Tower Hamlets John Biggs has welcomed indications that plans to build concrete factories next to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will not go ahead.
The planning authority for the area, the London Legacy Development Corporations, has now indicated that the scheme now won’t go ahead.
Worries over the movement of 900 lorries a day sparked a petition of more than 10,000 signatures. Mr Biggs said “common sense has prevailed”.
