East End choir sings for charity
London Docklands Singers marks their 25th anniversary with a celebratory performance at Southwark Cathedral.
The Isle Of Dogs choir will perform Verdi’s Requiem with the Marcel Sinfonia from 7pm on November 17.
The performance will be conducted by founder and musical director Andrew Campling.
He set up the choir in 1992 and members practise every Monday from 7.45pm at Christ Church in Manchester Road. They perform up to four concerts a year.
Recent concerts have raised more than £2,000 for Crisis and £10,000 for the Lin Berwick Trust.
Tickets for the concert cost £6-£20.
