East End choir sings for char­ity

London Dock­lands Singers marks their 25th an­niver­sary with a cel­e­bra­tory per­for­mance at South­wark Cathe­dral.

The Isle Of Dogs choir will per­form Verdi’s Re­quiem with the Mar­cel Sin­fo­nia from 7pm on Novem­ber 17.

The per­for­mance will be con­ducted by founder and mu­si­cal di­rec­tor Andrew Cam­pling.

He set up the choir in 1992 and mem­bers prac­tise ev­ery Mon­day from 7.45pm at Christ Church in Manch­ester Road. They per­form up to four con­certs a year.

Re­cent con­certs have raised more than £2,000 for Cri­sis and £10,000 for the Lin Ber­wick Trust.

Tick­ets for the con­cert cost £6-£20.
