Man assaulted by cyclist outside Co-op
A MAN in his 70s was assaulted on London
Road last Thursday evening – now police have launched an appeal to find the attacker.
The man was by the Co-Op store on the corner of Seaford Road when he was bumped by a male cyclist.
The victim spoke to the man on the bike, who then made aggressive comments before punching him and riding off.
The victim’s glasses were broken and he received a cut to his eyebrow and nose.
The offender is described as a white man, in his early thirties, 5 ft 6 ins tall, stocky build, short dark coloured hair, dark coloured stubble. The offender was wearing glasses, dark blue tracksuit bottoms, and a dark blue top with white toggles and a logo on the front.
Investigating officer, Police Constable Paul Bentley, of the neighbourhood policing team, based at Wokingham police station, said: “We would ask anyone with information or those who came to the victims aid to come forward.”
