Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are the main providers of mental health, learning disability and community health services in Berkshire.
Getting To Know Your Neighbourhood is a group for adults with learning disabilities in Wokingham.
This is a short course which aims to help people explore different aspects of their local community including keeping safe and community participation.
They are looking for volunteers to help the group which will take place on a Monday morning from 9.30am12.30pm in Wokingham in September.
Volunteers must be open, friendly and approachable, have an understanding of confidentiality, be a good communicator and be a team player.
Bearwood Primary School was originally built in 1847. The school has a total of between 290-310 children and caters for children from Foundation Stage (age 3) to Year 6 (age 11).
They are looking to recruit two new school governors. School governors provide strategic leadership and accountability in schools
It is governors who hold the main responsibility for finance in schools, and work with the headteacher to make the tough decisions about balancing resources.
The full governing body meets six times a year, normally in the evening. Committees meet between four to six times a year with some meetings during the day and some in the evening, depending on the type of committee.
Commitment is approximately five hours per week.
Browns Community Services gives preventative support and advice to socially excluded, disadvantaged and vulnerable clients (18+) with multiple and complex needs, including offenders, ex-offenders, those at risk of offending, those with issues around money management, housing/homelessness, unemployment, substance misuse, mental health and emotional management, and women who have, or are suffering from abuse, women who have a history of involvement in sex work or have a high level of social services involvement.
They are in need of Social Media volunteer who can contribute to communications and website content and update social media channels weekly. The role is home based.
