Singers’ summer show

ON SATURDAY, a Twyford church will be full of the sound of music thanks to a local choir.

Members of the Twyford Singers will be performing their summer concert at St Mary’s Church from 7.30pm.

The programme comprises two short operas.

The first half sees a performance of Purcell’s threeact opera Dido and Aeneas.

The second half is lighter, with a performance of Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic opera Trial By Jury.

The Twyford Singers’ soloists are Sue Thomas, Celia Reinbolt, Ginou Nightingale, Judy Hallinan and Andy Bell, Marjorie Harrison, Danny Walsh and John Miller.

Guest soloist for both operas are Angela Good, AJ Gibson and Samir Savant.

Tickets cost £10 or £5 for under 16s, with a discount for advance tickets.
