Hurst club needs new members

HURST Bowling Club are appealing for new members.

The green at Hurst, behind the Castle Inn, has been in use since 1747, making it one of the oldest in England.

The club is relatively small with around 50 members and the volunteers help to run a number of events throughout the year, including regular work with LINK, a befriending organisation.

On every Thursday during the season, Hurst encourage isolated residents to try their hand at bowling.
