Su­mas re­serves slip to fourth de­feat

EL­LIOTT RUSHFORTH’S goal could not pre­vent a fourth de­feat of the sea­son for Wokingham and Emm­brook Re­serves.

With the Su­mas first team not in ac­tion, a few play­ers dropped down to pick up some game time for the re­serves, but they came out on the wrong side of a 2-1 loss to Berks County.

Some of the lower di­vi­sions also kicked off with HURST los­ing 3-0 at Fril­sham and Yat­ten­don and

FINCHAMPSTEAD fall­ing to a 2-0 re­verse at Rich­ings Park in Divi­sion 1.

Daniel Ad­kins’ goal earned a 1-1 draw for HARCHESTER HAWKS at AFC CORINTHI­ANS in Divi­sion 2, for whom Daniel Hug­gins net­ted, while Richard Cum­ner’s strike earned all three points for Berks County Re­serves at HURST RE­SERVES.

The Read­ing Sun­day League also got un­der­way with re­sults in­clud­ing a 6-1 de­feat for

WOOD­LEY UNITED, de­spite a fine goal from Ar­ran Wells, and

SHIN­FIELD RANGERS thrash­ing Sanc­tu­ary Strik­ers 15-2 in Divi­sion 4.
