A WOMAN from Wood­ley has been given a con­di­tional dis­charge af­ter plead­ing guilty to as­sault.

Alice Muchiri, 38, of Rush­brook Road, ap­peared at Read­ing Mag­is­trates’ Court on Au­gust 16 where she ad­mit­ted as­sault­ing a man in Read­ing on July 30 this year.

Ms Muchiri was given a con­di­tional dis­charge for six months; or­dered to pay a sur­charge of £20; and costs of £85.

A WOMAN from Ar­bor­field has pleaded guilty to as­sault.

Catherine Ibe, 30, of Ven­ning Road, ap­peared at Read­ing Mag­is­trates’ Court on Au­gust 16 where she ad­mit­ted as­sault­ing a man in Ar­bor­field on July 29 this year.

Mrs Ibe was given a con­di­tional dis­charge for six months; or­dered to pay a sur­charge of £20; and costs of £85.

A MAN from Wood­ley has been given a re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion or­der af­ter he pleaded guilty to as­sault­ing a po­lice of­fi­cer in or­der to re­sist or pre­vent an ar­rest.

Luke Kevin Joseph, 19, of

Raleigh Close, ap­peared at

Read­ing Mag­is­trates’ Court on Au­gust 17 where he had pre­vi­ously is­sued an in­di­cated plea of guilty to as­sault­ing a po­lice of­fi­cer in Wood­ley on July 5 this year.

The of­fi­cer did not sus­tain any se­ri­ous in­juries dur­ing the in­ci­dent.

Mr Joseph was or­dered to par­tic­i­pate in a re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion pro­gramme for up to 30 days, and to par­tic­i­pate in an ac­tiv­ity re­quire­ment for up to 10 days. He was also or­dered to pay a sur­charge of £85 and costs of £85.

A MAN from Wood­ley is due to ap­pear in court charged with steal­ing brandy from Waitrose.

Daniel Brian Stor­rar, 31, of Rowan Drive, ap­peared at Read­ing Mag­is­trates’ Court on Au­gust 17 where he de­nied steal­ing two bot­tles of the al­co­holic drink, worth £55, from Waitrose in Wood­ley on April 2 this year.

He also de­nied four counts of fail­ing to sur­ren­der to cus­tody at Read­ing Mag­is­trates’ Court on July 18 and July 27.

Mr Stor­rar has been re­manded on bail un­til Novem­ber 6 for the trial at the same court. He is to at­tend Lod­don Val­ley Po­lice Sta­tion be­tween 2pm and 4pm on Mon­days, Wed­nes­days and Fri­days, and to live and sleep each night at his ad­dress in Rowan Drive, un­til that date.

A WOMAN from Wood­ley has been given a sus­pended prison sen­tence for driv­ing of­fences.

Zoey Anne Rooke, 25, of Hunters Court, ap­peared at Read­ing Mag­is­trates’ Court on Au­gust 17 where she pleaded guilty to driv­ing whilst dis­qual­i­fied in Win­nersh on July 5; driv­ing with­out in­sur­ance on July 5; driv­ing while dis­qual­i­fied in Win­nersh on June 21; driv­ing with­out in­sur­ance on June 21; and com­mis­sion­ing a fur­ther of­fence while sub­ject to a con­di­tional dis­charge or­der.

Miss Rooke was given a 16-week

prison sen­tence, sus­pended for two years; or­dered to carry out a re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion re­quire­ment for up to 25 days; pay a sur­charge to fund vic­tim ser­vices of £115; and dis­qual­i­fied from hold­ing a li­cence for 47 months.

A WOMAN from Wood­ley is due to ap­pear in court charged with caus­ing death by dan­ger­ous driv­ing.

Pert­pall Sall, 68, of Headley

Road East, is ac­cused of caus­ing the death of Sonata Sauly­tyte by driv­ing dan­ger­ously in Ox­ford Road, Read­ing on De­cem­ber 8 last year.

She is also charged with caus­ing se­ri­ous in­jury to Liam Brink­ley at the same time.

Mrs Sall has been sent for trial at Read­ing Crown Court on Septem­ber 19.

A TEENAGER from Ar­bor­field is due to ap­pear in court charged with caus­ing crim­i­nal da­m­age.

The boy, who can­not be iden­ti­fied for le­gal rea­sons, is ac­cused of dam­ag­ing the wing mir­ror of a car in Wok­ing­ham on April 2 this year. The boy has de­nied the charge.

He has been re­manded on un­con­di­tional bail to ap­pear at Read­ing Mag­is­trates’ Court on Septem­ber 20 for the trial.
