Zumba dance class helps Brain Tu­mour char­ity

FIT­NESS fa­nat­ics danced their way to rais­ing more than £300 at a spe­cial char­ity Zumba class in Lower Ear­ley last week.

More than 50 mem­bers of Lod­don Val­ley Leisure Cen­tre donned flu­o­res­cent cloth­ing to shake, shimmy and salsa the evening away on Wednesday, Septem­ber 27, rais­ing money for The Brain Tu­mour Char­ity in the process.

In­struc­tor Tracy Dance put the group through a one-hour ses­sion of the in­fec­tious Latin Amer­i­can beats and Wok­ing­ham Bor­ough Mayor, Cllr Rob Stan­ton, joined in with the fun.

Wok­ing­ham Bor­ough Mayor, Cllr Rob Stan­ton said: “Con­grat­u­la­tions to ev­ery­one in­volved in or­gan­is­ing the evening and it was fan­tas­tic to see so many peo­ple en­joy­ing the ex­er­cise and hav­ing fun.”

The Zumba event raised £340, with the cen­tre rais­ing more than £850 in to­tal through spon­sored spin­ning classes and cake sales.
