Praise for digital growth of Berkshire companies
DIGITAL growth across the Thames Valley has been praised by the local enterprise partnership.
Announcing a new Digital Tech report, the Thames Valley Berkshire LEP said that the region is the UK’s leading digital tech cluster with 7,800 digital tech companies and 56,300 digital tech specialists.
David Parry-Jones, Director and Technology Lead for Thames Valley Berkshire LEP, said: “We have some of the most innovative digital and creative companies in the world based here in Berkshire, from homegrown success stories to global firms choosing the sub-region as their European or UK base.
“This document provides a wealth of information about these companies and why they are here. With a huge talent pool with highly sought-after skills, a strong collaborative networking community, easy access to Heathrow and London, plus ever more innovation and coworking space, the attraction of Berkshire is clear to see.”
And the LEP is looking to the future. Working with ConnectTVT, it has launched Digital Gum is a new digital skills programme to help apprentices and return-to-work parents fast-track their digital careers and land their dream job.
