What do I really want?

In the first of a new five-part series, CHRIS HUNT looks at ways in which you can start to set your own personal goals and then take them to a new level

The Wokingham Paper - - HEALTH - Personal fitness with Chris Hunt

SO what do we start with this week? I hope you read last week’s article closely and had a good think about what we spoke about. The next five weeks we will be spending some time answering some questions that I know for sure are going to open up your mind and really propel your goal setting and goal achieving to a whole new level.

The questions are shown below:

WEEK1 What do I really want?

WEEK 2 What is important about it?

WEEK 3 How will I get it?

WEEK 4 What is preventing me from having it? WEEK 5 How will I know I am successful?

This week we will be focusing on question number one: “What do I really want?

What do you really want can be classed into so many different areas and overall most coaches and positive change coaches will break the areas down into the following categories:

Family

Relationships

Personal development

Health and Fitness

Spirituality

Career

So this week I want you to focus on the categories above and ask the question – What do I really want?

To get you started I am going to give you a few examples of the types of questions I want you to ask of yourself:

What do I want my family dynamics to look like? Do I want to spend more time with my family doing things we enjoy? What do I want for my family in the future?

What relationships do I want to form moving forward? Is there a relationship I want to focus on over the next 12 months? What relationships are working and what relationships are not working currently?

What do I want from my life? What do I want to achieve in the future? What areas of my personality and skill base do I need to improve on?

Is there an area of my health that I need to work on? What goal do I want to set for my body this year? What do I want to achieve in the gym this next 12 months?

Is there anything I could study right now to help me spiritually? What do I want to achieve from my spiritual self over the next three, six, nine and 12 months?

Is my current job and career choice satisfying me? What do I want to achieve in my chosen career? What would I like to earn in the next months, three years, five years and 10 years?

These are just some basic questions that I have set for you but the real key is asking your own questions that will open up your own mind.

My business model is all about using health and fitness to drive on positive change in all other areas of your life.

When it comes to health and fitness and my own model; I believe in my M.A.S.T.E.R.Y model of positive change which I have talked about before.

The M.A.S.T.E.R.Y model involves focusing on Morning rituals, Nutrition, State of Mind, Training, your Environment, Recovery and rest / sleep and finally You.

If you want to explore these further then you know how to reach me.

So pretty simple right?

I truly believe that by asking some questions of yourself and giving yourself some honest feedback then you can really move forward on the right path to positive long lasting change. This is what we all want right?

Knowledge is having the right answer. Intelligence is having the right question.

There is no stupid question. Stupid people don’t ask questions.

My final thought for you this week is to remember the A.S.K principle which stands for ALWAYS SEEK KNOWLEDGE.

What knowledge do you seek this week?

What will you find out about yourself this week?

Happy Thursday to you…now go grab that inner wisdom and ask yourself WHAT DO I REALLY WANT?

What will put the flesh on your relationships in the year ahead? What do you really want?
