Bulmershe’s super six in national finals
BULMERSHE Gymnastics Club will have six representatives at next month’s National Artistic Grades Finals.
After coming through the south region qualifiers in Milton Keynes, Benjamin
Neville, Max Kendall, Finlay Morgan, Musa Siddiqi, Harry Eckersall and Matthew Mann will all compete in Birmingham on
Neville and Kendall will go into that event as regional champions after winning their grade competitions.
Neville, 10, took the all-around gold in elite grade 2, while team-mate Kendall, 12, secured the all-around gold in grade 4.
Morgan and Siddiqi, both aged 14, finished second and fourth respectively in their grade 6 category, while 12-year-old Eckersall followed up on his bronze medal in the rings at the London Open by clinching qualification for Birmingham.
The youngest Bulmershe gymnast to qualify is Mann, 9, who finished sixth overall in the grade 1 competition with good displays on the floor, pommel and vault.
“These boys definitely deserve their place in Team South,” said Bulmershe senior coach Mat Budsworth.
“I’m confident that they will shine in the National finals.
“After all the hard work from the gymnasts and coaches, these are just the kind of excellent results I now expect from the club.”
