Bul­mer­she’s su­per six in national fi­nals

BUL­MER­SHE Gym­nas­tics Club will have six rep­re­sen­ta­tives at next month’s National Artis­tic Grades Fi­nals.

After com­ing through the south re­gion qual­i­fiers in Mil­ton Keynes, Ben­jamin

Neville, Max Ken­dall, Fin­lay Mor­gan, Musa Sid­diqi, Harry Eck­er­sall and Matthew Mann will all com­pete in Birm­ing­ham on

Novem­ber 3-5.

Neville and Ken­dall will go into that event as regional champions after win­ning their grade com­pe­ti­tions.

Neville, 10, took the all-around gold in elite grade 2, while team-mate Ken­dall, 12, se­cured the all-around gold in grade 4.

Mor­gan and Sid­diqi, both aged 14, fin­ished sec­ond and fourth re­spec­tively in their grade 6 cat­e­gory, while 12-year-old Eck­er­sall fol­lowed up on his bronze medal in the rings at the Lon­don Open by clinch­ing qual­i­fi­ca­tion for Birm­ing­ham.

The youngest Bul­mer­she gym­nast to qual­ify is Mann, 9, who fin­ished sixth over­all in the grade 1 com­pe­ti­tion with good dis­plays on the floor, pom­mel and vault.

“These boys def­i­nitely de­serve their place in Team South,” said Bul­mer­she se­nior coach Mat Budsworth.

“I’m con­fi­dent that they will shine in the National fi­nals.

“After all the hard work from the gym­nasts and coaches, these are just the kind of ex­cel­lent re­sults I now ex­pect from the club.”
