It’s time to get giving with The Giving Tree

ON SATURDAY, the first glimpse of the festive spirit could have been seen.

At Tesco in Finchampstead Road, Wokingham, supporters and beneficiaries of The Giving Tree appeal gathered to launch this year’s campaign.

Originally devised by our predecessor, The Wokingham Times, every year it grows in popularity.

The idea is simple: go to a Giving Tree, find a tag, buy the present on the tag and return it to the tree.

Santa’s helpers will then ensure it gets to a good boy or girl who would otherwise go without this Christmas.

You are always so generous, and we expect this year, even with our belts being tightened, to be just as supportive.

We all remember the excitement of a surprise gift, of Christmasses past and the thrill of the wrapping. Sharing that joy is just as thrilling.

It’s time to get giving to ensure that this year’s Giving Tree appeal is the most successful ever.
