MP’S VISIT TO TALK SCHOOLS
THE VERY first Christmas fair of a new primary school in Winnersh raised an incredible £2,000 for the school.
Wheatfields Primary School, which is based in Woodward Close, held their inaugural Christmas fayre on Friday, December 1 for children and parents from the school.
Parents and grandparents created handmade crafts and gifts which were available to buy, and children could decorate their own Christmas biscuits before meeting Father Christmas himself in his very own grotto.
Children could also buy a special present for their parents from ‘Elfridges’, which was sponsored by local firm All Brick and Stone.
PTA member Emma Whitaker, who helped to organise the event said: “After a huge amount of planning and preparation by the parents of the school I am so impressed to have raised £2,000 and it makes all the sweat and tears worth it.
“We really have got a fantastic set of parents who go above and beyond for the school, and I would like to personally thank them all.”
