Coun­cil’s fes­tive open­ing hours

WOK­ING­HAM Bor­ough Coun­cil has an­nounced its coun­cil and li­brary fes­tive open­ing hours.

The coun­cil of­fices will be com­pletely closed on Christ­mas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, with a re­duced open­ing on Fri­days 22 and 29.

Li­brary open­ing hours will also change over the fes­tive pe­riod.

The open­ing hours are for both Shute End of­fices and The Old Forge are as fol­lows:

Fri­day, De­cem­ber 22: 9am – 4pm

Christ­mas Day and Boxing Day: Closed

Wed­nes­day, De­cem­ber 27 and Thurs­day, De­cem­ber 28: Nor­mal open­ing hours

Fri­day, De­cem­ber 29: 9am – 4pm

New Year’s Day: Closed Tues­day, Jan­uary 2: Nor­mal open­ing hours

The out-of-hours tele­phone num­ber for emer­gen­cies dur­ing the hol­i­day pe­riod is (0800) 212 111. So­cial ser­vices emer­gen­cies out-of-hours tele­phone num­ber is (01344) 786 543.

The tele­phone num­ber for re­port­ing out-of-hours re­pairs to coun­cil prop­er­ties is (0800) 515 287. The calls will be man­aged by the coun­cil’s outof-hours call cen­tre and passed to the ap­pro­pri­ate con­trac­tor.

The com­mu­nity men­tal health team based at The

Old Forge in Wok­ing­ham will be open as listed above, and out-of-hours the men­tal health ur­gent care ser­vice will be avail­able on (0300) 365 0300.

All Wok­ing­ham Bor­ough li­braries will be closed on Christ­mas Day, Boxing Day and New year’s Day

Fin­champ­stead Li­brary will be closed from 12.30pm on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 23 un­til Tues­day Jan­uary 2. Maiden Er­legh Li­brary will be closed from 5pm on Fri­day, De­cem­ber 22 un­til Tues­day, Jan­uary 2.

Dur­ing the rest of the fes­tive pe­riod all other li­braries will be open nor­mal branch hours, de­tails are avail­able on­line at www.wok­ing­ li­braries
