SHOPPERS at a supermarket in Lower Earley showed their festive spirit by donating to a local charity earlier this month.

Volunteers from the Me2 Club, which is based in Woodley and helps children and young adults with additional needs to participate in mainstream activities, joined members of the three local Rotary Clubs to collect donations from shoppers at Asda on Friday, December 1.

The collection raised more than £600 for the charity.

Tess Eagles, Me2 Club’s Manager, said: “Thank you to everyone who helped raise funds for Me2 Club at our Asda day, we raised a fantastic £622!

“Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success, this included: Easthampstead Rotary Club; Rotary Club of Loddon Vale; Rotary Club of Reading and Maiden Erlegh; Sage; Trustees; Staff and our families – they were all amazing!”
