Anti-social parking

The Wokingham Paper - - NEWS -

ANTI-SOCIAL parking in Earley was raised by resident Andrew Mickleburgh. He wanted to know if a full-time traffic warden (known as a Civil Enforcement Officer or CPE) could be appointed. Executive member for highways and transport, Cllr Anthony Pollock, said that since October last year the CPEs had carried out 1,581 patrols in Earley and handed out 938 tickets.

“The cost of a full-time patroller is within the region of £37,000 per annum,” he added.
