Lions want puz­zled looks at char­ity event

QUIZ fans are be­ing in­vited to get their think­ing caps on and help lo­cal char­i­ties at the same time.

Wok­ing­ham Lions will be hold­ing a quiz night on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 19 at Wok­ing­ham Cricket Club in Sindle­sham and is look­ing for teams of up to eight to join in. And the club will help link peo­ple up if the teams are short.

The evening in­cludes a jacket potato with chilli meal (veg­e­tar­ian op­tion avail­able) and there will be a raf­fle to take part in.

The cricket club’s bar will be open so that par­tic­i­pants can lu­bri­cate their brain cells.

Ian Grange, or­gan­iser of the event, said: “There will be prizes for the win­ners, plus a raf­fle. We are look­ing for do­na­tions for raf­fle prizes, so please con­tact us if a lo­cal com­pany would like to do­nate a ser­vice or prod­uct. It prom­ises to be a fun evening, a chance to learn a few things, and also help wor­thy causes in the com­mu­nity.”

The fun starts at 7.30pm and tick­ets cost £12.50. They should be pur­chased in ad­vance.
