WOOD­LEY UNITED LADIES moved to the top of the South­ern Women’s Premier Divi­sion with a 3-0 win at New­bury.

Marc Sur­tees’ side are adapt­ing well fol­low­ing pro­mo­tion and they eased to their third win from four league games.

Af­ter a slow start, Wood­ley broke the dead­lock on 34 min­utes when Jodie Penny fired in.

Sarah Thomp­son quickly dou­bled the ad­van­tage and there was no look­ing back from there with Mad­die Sawyer (pic­tured) seal­ing the win in the sec­ond half with a spec­u­la­tive ef­fort.

Down in Divi­sion One, WARGRAVE LADIES had an af­ter­noon to for­get with a 14-0 thrash­ing at the hands of Money­fields Ladies while Alice Lil­ley’s goal could not pre­vent a 5-1 de­feat for WOK­ING­HAM AND EMM­BROOK LADIES

at home against Wy­combe Wan­der­ers. In Thames Val­ley Divi­sion Two East,

BIN­FIELD LADIES lost 4-1 at home against As­cot United Ladies Re­serves with Amy Martin net­ting the con­so­la­tion.
