Choral so­ci­ety pre­pares for con­cert

WOKINGHAM CHORAL SO­CI­ETY will present its au­tumn con­cert on Satur­day, Novem­ber 10.

The group will be joined by the Hamp­stead Cham­ber Orches­tra and con­tinuo Bene­dict Lewis-Smith for the event, which will take place at the Uni­ver­sity of Read­ing’s Great Hall on its Lon­don Road cam­pus

The pro­gramme in­cludes four pieces by Mozart: Diver­ti­mento in D ma­jor K136, Lau­date Dominum from Ves­pera solenelle de con­fes­sore K339, Ave verum cor­pus K618 and his Re­quiem.

There is also a per­for­mance of Ola Gjeilo’s Seren­ity.

The group will be con­ducted by

James Mor­ley Pot­ter and the mu­sic starts at 7.30pm.

Tick­ets cost £15 or £5 for stu­dents and un­der 18s. They can be bought in ad­vance from the In­for­ma­tion Cen­tre in Wokingham Town Hall, New­bury Build­ing So­ci­ety, in Broad Street,
