Choral society prepares for concert
WOKINGHAM CHORAL SOCIETY will present its autumn concert on Saturday, November 10.
The group will be joined by the Hampstead Chamber Orchestra and continuo Benedict Lewis-Smith for the event, which will take place at the University of Reading’s Great Hall on its London Road campus
The programme includes four pieces by Mozart: Divertimento in D major K136, Laudate Dominum from Vespera solenelle de confessore K339, Ave verum corpus K618 and his Requiem.
There is also a performance of Ola Gjeilo’s Serenity.
The group will be conducted by
James Morley Potter and the music starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £15 or £5 for students and under 18s. They can be bought in advance from the Information Centre in Wokingham Town Hall, Newbury Building Society, in Broad Street,
Wokingham and Jay Design & Print in Denmark Street, Wokingham.
