Cho­rus to sing of re­mem­brance

READ­ING FES­TI­VAL CHO­RUS will be per­form­ing at Greyfri­ars Church in Read­ing’s town cen­tre on Satur­day, Novem­ber 18.

Start­ing at 7.30pm, the evening of mu­sic will mark the cen­te­nary of the Ar­mistice.

The pro­gramme in­cludes Du­ru­flé's

Re­quiem and Four Motets, and a new work by Welsh com­poser Gareth Tresede: In

Flan­ders Fields – A War Cantata, a mov­ing set­ting to mu­sic of a num­ber of po­ems re­lat­ing to the war.

The choir will be con­ducted by Greg Hal­lam, ac­com­pa­nied by Si­mon Dins­dale and fea­ture per­for­mances from mezzo-so­prano Anna Prowse and bass David Le Prevost.
