Hav­ingspent a life­time in­volved with school-aged foot­ball from Un­der 8s right through to county and in­ter­na­tional level at Un­der 18s, I am the first per­son to ac­knowl­edge the neg­a­tive in­flu­ence of “win­ning at all costs”, of­ten as­so­ci­ated with poor be­hav­iour from par­ents and man­agers.
