England, My England

This England - - Contents - by Beryl Shepard Leece

England, my England, Was there ever a land so fair? Was there ever such a maze of green, Or purer, sweeter air? England, my England, With your lanes of wayside flowers. With heathered hills, and windswept leas, And tiny cottage bowers.

The River Worth Valley, Yorkshire, looking towards Lumb Foot and Stanbury from the village of Haworth.
