Lucy Mallows is a travel writer, editor and Hungarian-English translator. She worked for 12 years in Budapest as a reporter and editor at local newspapers and as Editor-in-Chief at Where Budapest. In 2005, she moved to Brussels to work as a correspondent for several Hungarian dailies at the EU Commission. Lucy wrote the Bradt Guides to Bratislava, Slovakia and Transylvania - all three were UK publishing firsts – and has contributed to 25+ guidebooks. Lucy now lives in Brighton and edits the Brighton Top Ten & World Girl Travel websites. She is an expert on the Central European region and speaks six foreign languages including Russian and Czech.
