Timeless Travels Magazine - - BOOK REVIEW - D. Santos & N. Augusto

Flying Book House Published: September 2016 Price: £17.80 (Hardcover)

This is a fantastic book which gives a wonderfully different perspective to other guide books to the Algarve. Written in both English and Portuguese, the aerial photographs show the area’s beautiful landscapes, with views of land and sea, towns and cities, the mountains and stunning beaches.

Arranged geographically from East to West, this book has photographs and commentary of each major town and city and so can illustrate what other books can only talk about. It is a great way to see ahead of time where you would like to visit.

Portugal has a culture full of history and thanks to these fabulous aerial photographs, it is possible to see things, such as how many castles there are in the Algarve. Everyone knows about the golden sandy beaches lapped by a crystal clear sea, but this book shows there is more to the area than just a stunning coastline. It also displays well the interior regions of the area and the diverse terrain that exists.

Complete with an introduction by Cliff Richard, this book is definitely worth a look whether you are going to visit or are just an armchair traveller.
