18 new sites for UNESCO World Her­itage list

Eigh­teen new cul­tural sites have been added to the UNESCO World Her­itage listings in June 2017. They are: 1.The ar­chae­o­log­i­cal site and mar­ble quar­ries of Aphro­disias in South West Turkey. 2. As­mara, Eritrea. 3. As­sump­tion Cathe­dral and Monastery of the town-is­land of Sviyazhsk, Rus­sian Fed­er­a­tion. 4. The caves and Ice Age art in Swabian Jura, Ger­many. 5. He­bron/ Al-Khalil Old Town, Pales­tine. 6. His­toric city of Ah­mad­abad, In­dia. 7. His­toric city of Yazd, Iran. 8. Ku­jataa Green­land: Norse and Inuit Farm­ing at the Edge of Ice Cap, Den­mark. 9. Ku­langsu, tiny is­land on es­tu­ary of Chiu- lung river, fac­ing the city of Xi­a­men. 10. Mbanza Kongo, ves­tige of the cap­i­tal of for­mer king­dom of Kingo, An­gola. 11. Sa­cred Is­land of Oki­noshima and associated sites in Mu­nakata re­gion, Ja­pan. 12. Ta­puta­pu­atea, France. 13. Tarnowskie Góry Lead-Sil­ver-Zinc Mine and its Un­der­ground Wa­ter Man­age­ment Sys­tem, Poland. 14. Tem­ple Zone of Sam­bor Prei Kuk, Ar­chae­o­log­i­cal Site of An­cient Ishana­pura, Cam­bo­dia. 15. English Lake District. 16.Va­longo Wharf Ar­chae­o­log­i­cal Site, Brazil. 17 16th- 17th de­fence works in Italy, Croa­tia and Mon­tene­gro. 18 Khomani Cul­tural Land­scape, South Africa.
