Au­gust 1997 Won the Faldo Ju­nior Se­ries at the age of just 15. He would go on to win an­other two Faldo Se­ries ti­tles, as well as the 1999 World Boys Cham­pi­onship.

Au­gust 2001 Turned pro a day af­ter help­ing the GB&I Walker Cup team win on US soil.

De­cem­ber 2002 Fin­ished 36th on the Euro­pean Tour Or­der of Merit, earn­ing him The Sir Henry Cot­ton Rookie of the Year award.

Jan­uary 2005 Earned his maiden win on the Euro­pean Tour with vic­tory at the Cal­tex Masters in Sin­ga­pore.

June 2007 Led af­ter the first round of the US Open fol­low­ing a two-un­der par 68 at Oak­mont. He ended the tour­na­ment in a tie for sev­enth.

Oc­to­ber 2007 Won the 2007 Al­fred Dun­hill Links, a re­sult which lifted him in­side the world’s top 50.

April 2008 Com­peted in his first and only Masters, fin­ish­ing T33.

June 2009 Claimed his third and fi­nal Euro­pean Tour ti­tle at the BMW In­ter­na­tional Open in Ger­many.

De­cem­ber 2010 Mar­ried fel­low broad­caster Di Ste­wart.

De­cem­ber 2011 Lost his Euro­pean Tour card af­ter mak­ing only one cut from 32 events all year.

Jan­uary 2015 Joined the Sky golf team on a per­ma­nent ba­sis. He moved into a pre­sent­ing role a year later.

Oc­to­ber 2016 Called time on his play­ing ca­reer, bow­ing out at the Dun­hill Links fol­low­ing the 54-hole cut.
