IS THIS THE GREATEST FEAT IN GOLF?
Heard the one about Mason Nome, a 15-year-old, who made a hole-in-one and albatross in the same round in 2016? Well, he’s just been eclipsed by another junior golfer, who achieved the same feat on BACK-TO-BACK holes at the Junior Golf Hub Championship in Massachusetts. Teenager Conor Kelly holed his tee shot on a 198-yard par 3 and then repeated the feat from 220 yards with his second shot on a par 5. To top things off, the 16-year-old birdied his next hole at the Halifax Country Club to complete an ultra-rare 1-2-3 run on eight, nine and 10. He finished his round on five-under to tie for 17th.
