Fo­cus on your point of en­try a cou­ple of inches be­hind the ball, not the ball it­self. Your key back­swing thought is to avoid any sort of lat­eral move­ment. Do this by re­tain­ing pres­sure down through your lead leg – the knee should hold its po­si­tion – and through cre­at­ing the feel you are turn­ing on top of the ball, not be­hind it.
