Marathon risk?

Trail Running (UK) - - Warm- Up -

Experts writing in the American Journal of Kidney Diseases have cast doubt on the safety of marathon running. According to their research, 82% of participants suffer Stage 1 Acute Kidney Injury soon after a race, with symptoms including the kidneys failing to filter waste from the blood. This could be due to a sustained rise in core body temperature, dehydration, or decreased blood flow to the kidneys.
