At the fourth attempt, Adam Perry failed to beat the Lake District 24 Hour record. Inov-8 ambassador Adam came agonisingly close to Mark Hartell’s 20-year-old record of 77 peaks. The 29-year-old reached 78 summits, but made it back to Moot Hall, Keswick, in 24hr 15min.

Spine Race-winner Tom Hollins attempt to break Nicky Spinks’ Double Bob Graham record ended in defeat. The Inov-8 ambassador became unwell after completing one anticlockwise Bob Graham (in 22:19) and summiting three peaks on his second circuit.

David Mitchell’s attempt to run a Double Cotswold Way (102 miles), to celebrate his 50th and raise money for a cancer charity, ended just short, due to heat-related problems. He managed 166 miles in 42 hours.
