Trail run­ning isn’t re­ally about splits, times and Strava-fu­elled com­pe­ti­tion – that kind of train­ing has its place, but some­times it’s nice to just take things slow and en­joy the out­doors. That’s why here at Trail Run­ning HQ we’ve taken to climb­ing trees part way through our lunchtime runs. It’s great fun, en­gages more mus­cles than run­ning alone and forces you to think in new ways. There’s ab­so­lutely noth­ing wrong with be­hav­ing like a child when you’re run­ning – they look like they’re hav­ing more fun, don’t they?
