Appledore Kent

Trail Running (UK) - - Routes -

This is one of our favourite runs to take in summer – roaming through picturesque Kent countryside on wide, runnable trails. It follows sections of two long-distance trails: the Royal Military Canal Path, which stretches for 27 miles from Seabrook to Pett Level, and the Saxon Shore Way, which is 163 miles from Gravesend to Hastings. It takes in an enjoyable figureof-eight around the pretty town of Appledore but could easily be extended in either direction. Well-maintained paths allow you to take in the peace and tranquillity of the area while you run. Watch out for wildlife along the canal and across the fields – we’ve often spotted deer grazing here. It’s a great place to run on your own or as part of a group.
