Fell run­ning le­gends in­clud­ing Joss Nay­lor have writ­ten an open let­ter to the Fell Run­ners As­so­ci­a­tion (FRA) ask­ing for a ban on the use of GPS nav­i­ga­tion in races.

Dime Fein­haus for cut­ting the course, al­though with­out “ma­li­cious in­tent”.

A trail run­ner was de­tained for two weeks af­ter ac­ci­den­tally cross­ing the bor­der from Canada to the US. The 19-year-old French cit­i­zen, on hol­i­day in Canada, ran along a beach and into the US – and a lot of trou­ble.
