Returning from injury is Angharad’s top priority – that and enjoying the rest of the summer before starting work in veterinary medicine. She really got into trail running as a student when she joined the university’s running club. As a former hockey player, Angharad was ready to tackle a new challenge and quickly got involved in races – entering events all the way up to half-marathon length.
“Two years ago I ran 30km up and around Snowdon during the first Love Trails festival,” she recalls. “It was the most challenging run I’ve ever done both mentally and physically, but I would go back and do it all again in a heartbeat. Being a sunny, clear day the views from the top were breathtaking and it was great being able to share the moment with such an amazing group of people.”
