5 MONTHS TO TRAIN
After some faffing at the start and a taper at the end, I had four blocks of four weeks to prepare. I’m an advocate of blocks of three-week builds and one week active recovery; I stuck strictly to this, but my weekly long runs didn’t reach the 60km I’d planned for. But it’s better to stick to the structure than throw in a run that would break me. I had no illnesses or injuries so... all good.
