Af­ter some faffing at the start and a ta­per at the end, I had four blocks of four weeks to pre­pare. I’m an ad­vo­cate of blocks of three-week builds and one week ac­tive re­cov­ery; I stuck strictly to this, but my weekly long runs didn’t reach the 60km I’d planned for. But it’s bet­ter to stick to the struc­ture than throw in a run that would break me. I had no ill­nesses or in­juries so... all good.
