■ FLEECE COMFORT

The stretchy knit fleece that was used with great success on previous Pravitale fleeces is used once again for the arms, shoulders, upper chest and hood, offering great unrestricted movement – just what you need when flailing an ice axe or stretching for the next hold on a scramble.

■ PICK A POCKET

The waist pockets are perfectly placed for hand warming, while a small pocket on the left shoulder offers a little sanctuary for tiny valuables (the pocket is large enough for a few credit cards and a car key but that’s about it).

■ DRAUGHT DODGERS

The integral thumb loops help keep warmth in around the wrists and are far more comfortable than the simple fabric loop designs found on some mid layers. The dropped hem at the rear helps keep out the cool even when on the move.

■ INSULATED WARMTH

The core body area around the midriff utilises Berghaus’ synthetic Hydroloft insulation; super-fine fibres which mimic the structure of natural down. It offers excellent breathability for movement-intense activities and continues to trap heat and insulate when wet.

■ ECO WATER RESISTANCE

As well as using environmentally friendly Bluesign approved fabrics, the Pravitale Hybrid is free of PFCs (harmful fluorocarbons) and yet still features DWR (durable water repellent) fabrics so it can shrug off a little light drizzle on the occasions that it’s worn as an outer layer.
