Kate

Nose: Vanilla crème brûlée and blueberry muffins. Then custard Danish pastries with apple compote, the sweetness balanced by big oak notes.

Palate: Huge cherry hits: red cherry compote, maraschino cherries in a jar, cola cube sweets and those lovely oak notes promised on the nose.

Finish: Cherry all the way through.

Comments: Like drinking a Manhattan while eating cherry pie. 9.2

Sam

Nose: Gentle and maybe a little more on the reserved side. Dried fruits; apricots, sultanas and raisins. An almond note in there too.

Palate: The dried fruits find a little more voice on the palate and there’s some strong apricot, plum and fig. A faint nuttiness expresses itself towards the end.

Finish: Truly long. Apricot compote and caramel chocolates are there.

Comments: Classy, with a real variety of flavour and intensity. 8.2
