The Toni Bou Show continues, with no current threat to his reign as the ‘King of Trials’. He is constantly pushed to the limits of his riding by his arch rival Adam Raga, but when it’s needed he can always raise his game. The two days of domination in the USA put his championship aspirations on track, and despite Raga taking the win in the Czech Republic you have to agree that Bou has once again dominated the 2017 championship. His Repsol Honda team-mate and fellow Spanish rider Jaime Butso is now a firm fixture on the podium, and no doubt he will take a Trial World Championship one day; it’s just a case of waiting for it to happen! With the younger riders now starting to dip their toes into the top ten it bodes well for the future of the TrialGP premier class for 2018 as both Albert Cabestany and French rider Loris Gubian said goodbye to the championship at the final round in Italy.
