Trout Fisherman (UK) - - News & Views -

MANY thanks to Peter Cockwill for hish reminisces on the Bude Canal AnglingAngli Association (TF issue 499). I am veryve pleased to see that it is alive and well.w My fat her, who ho introduced me tot fishing, retired to Bude, occupyingoccupy a retirement home opposite the BrendonBrendo Arms. The year before his death I arranged for all my coarse fishing equipment (some of it his) to be moved to Cornwall. Unfortunately, he was unable to join the club before his death. Both he and my mother are buried in St Michael’s Church overlooking the fishery. On my numerous visits to Bude I was taken with the canal, so close to the sea! I am now obsessed with flyfishing, but maybe someday I will join him. David Downham, by email
